Revolution gets Upgraded old Games |

I was just saying to my friends a couple weeks ago that the old classic games should be revived and kept up to date. Games like Archon, Defender, Galaxian, Qix. These and others are great games that I’d like to see updated versions of. And by updated versions, I mean the same game, same gameplay, just better graphics and sound. I know that some games like Defender have been remade, but frankly, they’re not good. The developer played with the formula, changing the great gameplay. Tsk tsk. These games deserve better. These old gaming classics should be perpetually on the shelves, always available with the latest graphics. They’re just too good for this generation to miss.

Well, Nintendo plans to do just that for the downloadable games on the Revolution. Nintendo company president Satoru Iwata says:

“We are doing several experiments, including working with the original Super Mario Bros., with the new technology,” Iwata said. “The game itself and the gameplay shall be identical, but the look will be different — it’s possible that with Revolution we may be able to see the old games with new looks.”

He didn’t say what form the upgrades will take, but I think this is a great idea. Great games deserve to live on.

This sounds good.. keep this in mind you dont down load these games on the a hard drive but a SD card.

SD card = hand held DS2

These games should be easy to copy so you can always make a back up or you dont have much money.

These games will need fresh paint.

I miss all the old games in 2D but they only seem to bring out games i dont really want to play again and not the ones i do.

I think Sega should do the same strees of rage could do with a new look and sonic 1
