There is no &quot;updated&quot; version of the PS3 in North America. We have the same PS3 we&#039;ve always had. Ditto for Europe, though their PS3 has less backwards compatibility than ours (like our 80GB PS3).</description>

		<description>I imagine that most devices use simple bilinear filtering to upscale an image. The downside of this is softer edges. I think I&#039;ve seen descriptions of algorithms that attempt to find hard edges in the source material and to preserve them after upscaling.</description>
