Sony and PS3 vs PS2 and PSP

The folks over at PS3 Updates have an interesting read about why Sony didn’t show any playable demos at TSG. Basically, it comes down to the fact Microsoft is forcing the next generation of consoles too early, and that there’s still life left in the PS2. Sony still wants to make some cash on the PS2, plus the PSP is still just getting off the ground. Sony doesn’t want to refocus gamers’ attention on the PS3 with the PS2 and PSP already in the market, craving that same attention.
