Next-Gen Activision Games for $60

Activision wants to increase the price of next-gen titles by 20% over current titles, to $60. And they won’t back down from those prices until market forces make them.

I’ve previously mentioned that I find current game prices already too expensive. Typically I wait for games to be out for a while and to decrease their price. Or I buy used. New game prices are just too high for me to justify plopping down so much dough for them. Plus there’s also the cost of the inital rental to make sure I’m not buying a piece of crap. Just because a reviewer from a certain magazine thinks a game is good, it doesn’t mean that I’m going to enjoy it.

What do y’all think? Are current prices okay? What about the 20% increase Activision plans for the PS3 and Xbox 360 games?
