360 Could Get Blu-ray Drive

In a not-so-surprising move (I’ve always maintained that the 360 should support Blu-ray), Microsoft has stated that they’re open to releasing an external Blu-ray drive for the 360 if it wins the disc format war.

Isn’t that great? You could have both an external HD DVD hooked up to your 360, and a Blu-ray drive! Add a couple more devices, and it’ll resemble an octopus!

I don’t know of any major video game attachment that has every succeeded. MS said this was different cuz its only for movies, but regardless of what tech is used for the drive, its not really going to move. Unless, its costs under $100 which I doubt.

ehandlr : I finally got to play my beta LBP as well. I agree with mcloki...it will be huge. The possabilities are endless and I know everyone has heard that but its definately sincere. I'm afraid to play into the game more then a couple levels bc I want it to be fresh and new when its launched....amazing game.
mcloki : Well after playing about 4 hours of LBp I can tell you that It is going to be a huge and i mean huge time sink. The things that you can do are great. This game is a digital Sandbox. I can play for hours. But will people have any imagination to create.
