Mercenaries 2: World In Flames | PS3Blog.net

Oohhh baby! Mercenaries was one of my favourite games on PS2. I loved the ability to call in air strikes on any given target, levelling buildings, destroying bridges crushing everyone & everything that got in my way…… 馃槇 Mercenaries

Ahem back to Mercenaries 2. Pandemic has revealed that they are working on a sequel to the GTA in a war-zone spectacular but they haven’t revealed which consoles it will be released on:

“While the original Mercenaries’ high-octane, go anywhere, do anything and blow the crap out of everything style was a hit with gamers, the whole experience was screaming to run on next-generation game systems,” explains Pandemic CEO Andrew Goldman. “And while we’re building on the core mercenary experience we created for the original, we’ve taken full advantage of next-gen technology to offer a more richly detailed, reactive, living world than gamers have ever seen before.”

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames will make an appearance at E3 where Pandemic promises fully reveal the title, so hold your breath.

Man can you imagine a next-gen souped up Mercenaries 2…….

On a scale of 1 to 10 for my excitement towards E3 it’s currently at 1,000,000,000!!!!

I too LOVED Mercenaries!!! Imagine how big the world will be and how beautiful the graphics will be. Pandemic has got to include online co-op.! That would push the gove up and over for me personally!!

The location is going to be very interesting. I doubt it will be a normal country that isn’t ruled by ‘dictators’ so will it be the predictable Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan or somewhere unpredictable?

    How about Mexico??

The game world should be massive & you should also be able to swim & climb up objects.

This is one game I am looking forward too. First one was alot of fun, and think of the map sizes on next gen.
