Engadget on the PS3 Controller |

PS3 ControllerEngadget has their own take on the PS3’s controller. They note two particular things of interest:

One, the remote is light. Some have said that this makes it feel cheap, but Engadget postulates that this lightness is probably a good thing if you’re going to be waving the remote around for hours. Good point.

Second, they find the PS3 controller to be laggy. Not the kind of news that I want to hear. Though I must point out that it contradicts what I’ve heard elsewhere about the PS3 remote.

I guess the only thing we can do is wait and see. Personally, I never cared much for the rumble functionality, finding that it was only really used well in a few instances. So I can’t wait to see what the new remote can do.

Controller showdown: PlayStation 3 vs Wii

  • Let’s not forget, the ONLY game being prepared for the motion sensor was Warhawk by Incognito, which were only informed about the controller less than two weeks before E3!
