I pre-ordered the first ps3 in Belgium at the largest specialised computer and video games retailer. They were trying to sell me an xbox360 because the ps3 would cost more then 800€.
There is no room for an xbox or an xbox360 in my living room, all the games that I would consider playing on either of those, I can play on a Playstation or on my home pc

...

*cough*
You misspelled my name Henning :D

This has indeed been a rumour since last E3, I remember there also being comments that the UI would support its use, so you could control your PS3's Media functions with your arms! just lay on the couch and move your hand to start a movie or something. Of course its much more than that, but the idea is great!

Also, it is a shame the Eyetoy doesn't come with the PS3 as standard, but hellfire! you cant complain... what more do you want? your already getting enough in there to warrant $600, the blu-ray drive alone. And the assumption that nobody will develop for it is silly. Look how well the Eyetoy is doing on PS2 (inEurope anyway). I'd argue in saying there are enough games out there to warrant it as a very worthy added accessory. I've had an eyetoy for 2 years now and its great! there is plenty of stuff available, and the cross compatibility with singstar and Dancing stage Fusion makes it a boon! If Eyetoy HD can detect 3D then the limits are endless!!

I for one can't wait!

Briankeith, if I understand you correctly, you mean I should be happy to pay twice what I paid for my PS2, then an extra 50-100 dollars for an Eyetoy that won't be widely supported because I'll have to pay 50-100 dollars for it? Then even more money for a wireless headset? Am I the only one here confused?

Very cool. Very cool. This sounds like the powerglove but better. I liked the power glove but.. mainstream hated it. Maybe now with the wii, they are ready for something like this. Leo, if this rumor turns out to be true.. here's your $600 right here. It'll be worth every penny. Too bad I dont believe it would even happen the first two years. I still remember the emotion engine. Toy story like graphics. Browse the web with your ps2 on your tv via, aol. and oh.. the ducks. Just like the other companies who hint at things to come and fall short. I believe the same will happen here. Sega didnt support their systems long enough but.. they never lied and always did something More than you expected.
