5 Min Video of PS3 Test Unit

I don’t know if you want to watch a video of someone opening and closing the PS3’s lid a couple times, but that’s what this video of the PS3. Some dude took a video camera and basically took some up-close footage of the PS3.

Again we can see that the case of the PS3 is actually transparent. I’m not so sure I like that. I think a nice opaque finish would be best, at least for the top.

What do you guys think?

What’s with the awful rock music? :|

It’s a nice looking machine but I think it will attract finger prints & other marks.

Ya, I could do without the music, I would rather hear what they where saying. But that video makes me want a PS3 even more now :)

Actually from what ive heard the case is only translucent when under bright lights. I guess sony thinks it makes the system look powerful by being able to see whats under the hood, kind of like a supercar with the engine visible in the rear window. It will look foggy to opaque in lower lighting conditions from what I have heard, being that he was using the light on the camera to see through it.

I love the look of the PS3…..everything from the design to the somewhat clear nature of the material that it is made of……will be awesome to get it home november 17 and turn on the lights and look inside of it !!!! I CANT WAIT ANYMORE !!!

It’ll attract finger and dust marking just like my damn new phone, LG choc. I want to see more of the PS3 in action, and frankly I was less than impressed when I heard that some of the Gamecube launch titles could have been released on the Wii. Like what, where’s the graphical update!!!?!? I’m still probably going to go for a 360 over a PS3 but lets find out to see whether I can wait till after Xmas.
