PS3 now supports PS2 HDD content

PS2 HDDIf you had any map packs from the likes of SOCOM, or played Final Fantasy XI and want to play them on your PS3 then you are in luck!

A download from the PlayStation Store now allots a folder on your HDD to space for PS2 game data. Simply go to the store, download and install. It isn’t the biggest of Sony’s Backwards compatibility issues with so few PS2 games utilising the HDD, but small steps like this show that a steady rate of progress is occurring.

I am interested to see, if HD Loader still works :D

    Would be pretty neat :D

I use it all the time, to save my PS2s laser diode from dying (I mean, it has already done enough work in the past 5+ years).

I have problem installing FFXI on Asia set PS3.
    Stuck after installing POL.
I wonder if it’s region specific that FFXI can’t be installed on Asia set.
