PlayStation Store gets Destruction Derby & Full Auto 2 demo

Sony plans on updating the store today. New downloads will include a demo of Full Auto 2: Battlelines for the PS3, and another Playstation 1 game, Destruction Derby which will run you $5.99.
Released back in 1995 for the PS1, Destruction Derby was developed by Studio 33 and Reflections.

I don’t know about you, but to me $5.99 for a 7 year old game is a rip off.

To each his own. You could go buy a Wii VC 20 year old game for $5.99. There are several 7-10 year old games I’d still pay full price for.

I agree there are many great old games old there well worth the time and money. I just don’t think that Destruction Derby is one of them. It’s aged terribly, really. But I guess the same can be said for most racing type games.

Rally Cross 1 is still really good ! I still have the original ps1 version and we played few race and and good time. I really like the suicide race too bad there is no 4 players racing games these days that provide that much fun…
I really like Destruction Derby also…by the way it was released for ps1 before 2000, 1996 I think.

It was released In 1995 with the launch of the PS1 in Europe. It was also developed by Reflections (Driver Fame). The game was up there with WipEout at launch as one of the must have games. It has aged quite badly to be honest. They should have put out the much better DD2. But I guess that one will come eventually too.
