"The PS3 has less memory and cant do AA^^"

False on both counts. It has the same amount of memory, and can do AA.

It is kinda funny how most sites that are reporting this do so with a disclaimer that he's a Sony exclusive developer. Yet they (Gamespot, Kotaku, iup) leave out the MS viral marketing part and fail to mention the frequent dining and swag they receive from MS.

Sounds like a very fair statement. Have you read what one of the guys at Epic had to say? This is the company responsible for Gears and they're talking like PS3 is the ONLY choice.

It was only last month that the Havok 4.5 engine was fully optimized across all SPUs on PS3 making it 5-10 times faster then version 4.0. Too late for Oblivion and Motorstorm but considering how many games use this engine (including Halo :) that improvement should show in the next generation of PS3 games.

With Sony working so closely with middleware developers we should expect to see more improvements like this.

There was a thread at B3D forums about the BFS (breadth first search) algorhythm being ported to the Cell...

The original optimized Pentium 4 (?) code was 60 lines long, and in less than one week they ported it to the Cell with a 20 fold increase in speed and lines of code^^

Yes, manpower isnt cheap, but look at way they have done! If it is worth it, it will be done, especially in first party games. And seeing Hastings saying that Sony finally gives out first party code to be used by third party, this is not such a big problem in the long term!
