I have been playing PS racing games for 10 years and I LOVE Motorstorm!! Wild races, heart pounding action and exciting finishes.

But I have a few issues...

When you play ONLINE you always hear the same 3 questions.
1. Who's the host? (put a * next to the host name or make it a different color)
2. What lap are you on?
3. Who's in first place?
Cant this info be displayed somewhere in the lobby?

Also, when your on the game server looking for a lobby to join, it would be great see what stage the races are in. Because you spend a lot of time looking for a lobby that's "idle", or waiting in a lobby for the race to finish.

I would like a track that has some obstacles or trick ramps. Like that cool corkscrew jump you see in the lobby when you're waiting for a race. Maybe a jump over a body of water so if you land short...SPLASH!

Last AND least...if you're going to put spectators in all those cool places along the tracks, cant you make then move or react to the action. It's silly to see these stiff "cardboard cut out" spectators in such an awesome game.

Overall I LOVE IT and I can’t wait for MOTORSTORM 2!

One last idea: To save time online, we should be able to fill a form (something like 8 by 8) where you find all the tracks on one side and all the cars on the other side. You just select the tracks you would like to run and the car you would like for those tracks. And from then, as soon as one race is about to start (and a spot is available) and meet your criteria, you're in.
So you could go from just selecting one track and one car only, to selecting as many tracks as you like, and having specific cars for each of those tracks. When in the lobby, you activate this function and wait for one of your favorite race to start. (Getting a message like, Tenderizer with trucks available about to start.... Accept? or Dust Devil with quad and 4X4 about to start, accept?)

I think each motorstorm should focus on a new type of terrain. I know this may be impractical since they spent alot of energy into making mud and dirt look as good as it does. But it would be nice if the next game was in a forested area, with steams and mountains (think downhill domination), or perhaps a snow covered area, where there are snowmobiles!

Another nice feature would be to add a greater number of vehicles, and a greater level of customization, both of which im sure will be apart of the next game.

Thats something alot of people fail to understand, just because you dont have a hdtv, doesnt mean these games are going to look like ass. The games still look amazing.

Control. loved the experience of using the sixaxis to steer and control in-air direction. But would like to see throttle and brake on the analogue sticks, well at least added as a third game pad control config setting.

More tracks and replays but thats already been covered.

Otherwise brilliant game. Expect Motorstorm 2 to be that little bit more polished.

Keep up the good work

Paint job? Paint job? If I don't finish a race with only a frame, 4 tires, and my helmet, it was not a good race. Would not want to scratch a pretty paint job every races. Just kidding. Still a good idea, and likely a sure thing in Motorstorm2.

MOST IMPORTANT: EVEN RACE MATCH UP. Currently, you see people who have raced 200 races with 80%wins (160 first places!!!) playing with newbies..... Something has simple as:

Race for 5% wins or less players only, 10%, 15% and 20% or less only... Sure enough, if you're unbeatable and still like to pound on newbies, you could create a new nickname everytime you pass 20% and start over, but those guys would likely get bored fast!!! Would give the newbies a chance to race against newbies and learn from there!

Otherwise, maybe a mode where if you won a race three time (first places) in the last 10 games, you cannot play in that room for 10 more races. (Again, forcing absolute experts to go try other racers instead of playing the same poor newbies again and again).

I'm not playing to win anymore, I'm playing to take out guys who beat the hell of newbies.... Still a lot of fun though, but because I usually take out myself as well quite often, my death ratio suffer. (In fact I suggest any decent player to do the same. It's fun to see a guy with over %50 wins, not being able to win a game in your room....).

Otherwise, I agree that it would be fun to save an online game replay from time to time. The physic in that game is so awesome, it always lead to the best visul stunts I've ever seen.

Companys tend to wait until the second game to put all that extra stuff in. If they putt all sorts of nonsense in the first game then it will take even longer for the game to come out. They also want to see if the game will sell...people are impatient as it is with games.
