I fully agree about AOTC being an enjoyable movie and ROTS is great too.
But the best is definitely ESB – best writing, best action set pieces and it is the darkest and tensest of all six.
Love it.
Hope the Blu-ray rumours are true.
Lucas loves his sound quality and uncompressed sound on Blu-ray would be great.

The correct movie is (naturally) Star Wars Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.

If these movies are released on BD, I will buy an 1080p TV

Your link and the Pioneer reps is new and not connected to the End of year benchmark that’s been going around since march that I was talking about.

If it is true then the format war is over as soon as Universal confirms it neutrality or switching completely since BD will have every major studio, on top of 70% of the market.

If not then it drags on till end of the year at the soonest unless HD-DVD pull out a miracle.

If the Universal story is true then Star wars would be a lot safer release and more likely. However, I’m not calling it a done deal till it’s confirmed.

I’ve never heard of EPB, I was thinking of the Ewoks thing but that’s EwoK Adventure so doesn’t fit either

Gary, we have one thing in common here^^ I own some Hapkido DVDs (mostly imported from Japan and Hong Kong as you dont find them anywhere here anyways)^^ Anyways, here's the link (albeit in German) that says, rumor has it that Universal will switch/adopt Blu Ray . And a babelfished one too (lol, a hp DVD^^)

There’s been rumors since Blu-Ray captured 60% of the market that Universal is only giving HD-DVD till the end of the year to turn it around. This last week HD-DVD dropped to 29%

But on the Star wars idea. I think around September we should be hearing something if they are going to do a HD release this early. 30 year anniversary’s coming up and all.

Some people say Lucas wont adopt a new format till it’s proven since he waited so long on DVD. I think they are just pretending to know more then they do really since he Adopted Laser so soon and backed LD so hard.
