Ratchet & Clank Future: No Multiplayer

IGN had a little chat with Insomniac’s Brian Allgeier and a couple of interesting bits of info came up. The game is roughly past the halfway mark and they are still hoping for a Fall (Autumn) release. The game is going to get it’s first public showing at next week’s Sony Gamers Day event where they will show off the Kerchu City level and “more than 5 weapons”. :D

There will be no multiplayer options in the finished game which is great news for me. They are focusing on making the single player experience as good as possible without being distracted with multiplayer modes. The main story mode sounds like it could be huge and I’d definitely take a great single player only Ratchet & Clank game over an average one that had multiplayer in just for the sake of it.

I can’t wait for Sony’s Gamers Day next week!!

tbh, I am relieved to hear that.

I still prefer mostly SP games (although MS is great online), as there I can play the games at my pace and to my forte (first playthru of MGS3 was 40+hrs :P , nearly no kill at all)
