Comments on: PS3 Video on Demand “this calendar year”

I hope it comes to Denmark. Scandinavia tends to get pushed aside as a “Major” territory in Europe though. This is the service i’ve been waiting for on PS3 (and even PSP). I like the idea of just taking what I want ‘On demand’ instead of paying a fixed fee every month for a bix ugly tv rental box and 5 million channels I never use.

I’ve never tried using iTunes much, Simply because I HATE the interface on PC. Its not TV friendly. I’d imagine a PS3 frontend would be alot nicer and especially for HDTV.

i’d totally be into this. i DO buy songs on itunes, for example, and i would get tv shows on itunes as well if it were offered in canada.

I’m glad they will have this, but honestly, I think a nicely integrated DRM-free music service would be much more useful. Hopefully, we will get both.

Network distribution is way more beneficial for music than movies.

If they go full on-demand then space wouldn’t be too much of an issue. 360′s video service is rental based and they have a lot less space.

It would need to be cheap and offer something I can’t get on demand with Comcast. I’ve been spoiled with On-Demand, I couldn’t go back. But with Comcast I get nearly everything On-Demand at no extra cost. So I don’t see paying for what I get already.

Is Germany a “major territory” in PAL Land? I sure hope so… Up until now, it wasnt (no FSK18 stuff on the PSN for instance), and it needs to be addressed!!
