About this year ago, Sony was notorious for extremely sparse and cryptic PR. The media gradually developed an animosity towards them. It took them a while, but now it seems that they have finally got with the program. Three Speech was a great first step, but hopefully this will be more authoritative and informative.

Wow this is good news. I remember I went on the Sony forums soon after getting my PS3 to suggest they implement some feature similar to Major Nelson’s blog. You know someone the community can communicate with as I was really frustrated with my PS3 not working with my HDTV and had no one to complain to. Hopefully they’ll allow for such constructive criticism on this blog, they certainly wouldn’t on the official forums.

I like this idea better than Major Nelson, because this doesnt give and pretense of pseudo-independence. It should be a good place to get info directly from the company, and perhaps with enough pressure from commenters, they will address some things that PS fans want.
