PS3 Release Schedule In Full Swing

Starting today with Madden 08, there is at least one new AAA title coming out every single week (the week of 10/15 looks to be one exception) for many months. Of course, these release dates are notorious for being unreliable, however this still provides a general picture of what we can look forward to.

(Using North American Release Dates)

Game Releases on Week of:

August 13: Madden 08
August 20: GRAW 2
August 27: Warhawk
September 3: Lair
September 10: Heavenly Sword
September 17: Strangehold
September 24: Skate
October 1: PlayStation Home, Hot Shots Golf, Sony/EA/2K NBA games
October 8: Folklore
October 15: Empty week?
October 22: Ratchet & Clank
October 29: GH3
November 5: Mercs 2, COD4, UT3, Lego Star Wars
November 12: Army of Two, Assassin’s Creed, Kane & Lynch, Orange Box, SingStar
November 19: Haze, Rock Band, Time Crisis 4, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune

I don’t think anyone will be able to seriously complain about droughts or dry spells for quite a while.

What’s that about Singstar coming out November 12? Is that the American releasedate? Tothegame.com still says that it comes out in Europe on the 24th of August.

Guess we’ll get it first then. But for some reason Europe seems to be a bigger market for party-games, so I guess it’s reasonable.

Sorry. Yes, these are American dates. Europe gets SingStar earlier. I’ll add comment to post.

Isn’t the Eye toy coming out then?

    Says:

Not bad. We definitly need these games. However, I question whether there will be that must have holiday/console mover game (i.e. Halo 3). Maybe Killzone 2 will be that Must have game. Nice job Darrin.

    I’ll take the following :D
    August 27: Warhawk
    September 10: Heavenly Sword
    October 1: PlayStation Home ( I hope it’s out Oct. 1st :) )
    November 5: COD4, UT3

    Here’s what I’m interested in:

    August 20: GRAW 2
    August 27: Warhawk
    September 3: Lair
    September 10: Heavenly Sword
    September 17: Strangehold
October 1: PlayStation Home, Hot Shots Golf,
    October 22: Ratchet & Clank
    November 5: Mercs 2, COD4, UT3,
November 12: Army of Two, Assassin’s Creed, Kane & Lynch, Orange Box,
November 19: Haze, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune

Add to that the mighty Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 and who needs GTA IV!!! :D

    Says:

    Ouch. That’s a £400 cost for November! O.o

  8. Vote -1 Vote +1  Darrin
    Says:

Wow, Gary. You have me beat. Are you seriously buying all that?

I’m planning to buy merely nine titles (~$540 US + peripherals). I am actually picky: so far I haven’t seen any PS3 title warranting a full price purchase (for my tastes) other than Resistance.

    October 1: PlayStation Home
    October 22: Ratchet & Clank
    November 5: Mercs 2, COD4, UT3, Lego Star Wars
    November 12: SingStar
November 19: Rock Band, Either Time Crisis 4 or Haze, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune

Why do they release all my favorites in that narrow 2-3 month window?

I need to take out a loan.

    Says:

Warhawk is coming the 28th not the 27th. Can’t wait!

    Says:

    wow.

for some reason i thought that stranglehold was coming out before heavenly sword, but i guess not. will definitely get HS, and maybe stranglehold. can’t wait for home!

i’m curious about folklore… not sure if i’ll get it. will likely get rachet&clank and uncharted. i was excited about assassin’s creed, but from what i’ve read, it didn’t play so well at e3.

  13. Vote -1 Vote +1  ShockFly
    Says:

Wow… 6 of the most highly anticipated games of this year all in three weeks. I will go for Assassin’s Creed and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Maybe Haze too, but it depends on wether it has something none of the other games have.

Call of Duty 4, Unreal Tournament 3 and Valve’s Orange Box are also on my list, but for the PC. I still think shooters are better to be played on a PC. I can’t get used to the gamepad’s feel for a shooter somehow.

Great line-up tho. Oh.. and I’ll be checking out the PES 2008 / FIFA 08 battle.

    Says:

I can’t wait to see the sales stats of all of these games. Everyone says that they are going to get most of these games. I hope everyone keeps their word so developers try to have insane holiday releases.

I actually think most will only buy 2-3 games from now until X-mas. Games may be bought after 2007, but most liklely not at full price.

    Says:

A couple of those games are must-buys for me on their respective release days. I just hope they don’t get delayed, but I have a feeling a few will.

    Says:

Heavenly Sword, Ratchet, and maybe Uncharted. Depending on how my funds are looking by then…>.>
