Yes, you can take cover in single-player first-person mode. I play that mode myself...

Sure, yeah, add me all you want! Hell, everyone add me, whateva!
I Just got warhawk too.

I was kind of dissapointed by the lack of "taking cover" in multiplayer like you do in single player. I think you also lose that ability when you go to first person view in single player (could be wrong).
I really like the hide and peek feature. It adds an element of realism. I for one would definately rather be peeking around corners instead of stepping out, to look, or to fire.

As a 31 year old PC fps veteran, I'll take my console shooters in a 3rd person format whenever mouse and kbd are not an option. And the player models are so freakin sweet to look at.

Has anyone figured out the motion control "peek" feature?
For the life of me I can't seem to make it do a damned thing.

This is just another example of tacked on SIXAXIS support.
Silly and useless. IMO

Oh, has anyone noticed the animations for reloading? The movement is very nice, if sort of static. You can see that it's an inserted mocap, but that's ok I guess. What really gets me is that the magazines are never removed from the weapons. The slide never moves on the handguns. The bolt / charging handle doesn't seem to EVER function, on any of the weapons. I know these are nitpicky complaints, but accurate weapon models are a huge deal for me.

I expected better of a "next-gen" Tom Clancy title.

That's my morning tirade! Enjoy!

I don't know - I disable 3rd person view and play it first person. (I don't like seeing my character - he blocks the view!)

But my guess is that no games would fix this kind of thing. It's too processor-intensive. The only easy way around it would be to have shorter grass. :)

I was thinking of getting this game but I really wasn't impressed after playing the demo. The reason being is when (in the demo) walking through the grass it actually grew out my back?! Kind of made me think about what kind of effort went into it. Does this happen in the released game?

Sarlac, mind if I add you in GRAW2? I'll likely be logged on as "Big6Boy", so you can add me now, if you like. =)

Count me in on that online game action. You guys should organize a regular reader/writer game. That would kick ass.

I purchased this game on Friday, and played it all weekend. I played about 3 stages in Single player mode, and the rest was all Online Multiplayer glory. LOL
I am only interested in playing Co-op multiplayer, and it was loads of fun talking to the others online and helping each other out when we collaborate to take down a helicopter or a group of baddies. I must say, my bluetooth headset works like a freakin charm! =)
I haven't played a ranked game yet, as they are always full.
Henning/Gary, let me know if you guys want to set up a game online. That would be sweet!
