Here’s another video interview about Unreal Tournament 3 for the PLAYSTATION 3, also coming out this fall. Like the Everyday Shooter video, I like some levels they show here, but not others. When they show the interviewee, the background screen shows a level of UT3 and it looks fantastic. But when they show the game fullscreen, then I don’t like the levels they show as much. It’s too contrast-y, if you know what I mean. It’s hard to see what’s going on, and I don’t like that.

It does not really look like a PS3-Game, much more like Xbox 360. I remember seeing those “extrem contrasts und darks” at different Xbox 360-Games but not at PS3-Version. Maybe they have some different RBG-Settings.

I couldn’t care less about graphics in a UT game. It is so fast paced you don’t even have time to look at any detail. Characters run at 50miles an hour and cars, erm, you get the idea. And anything less than 60fps on that game is major headache cause, unlike slow paced games like Doom, and Killzone2 (slow pace meaning the character actually moves in a believable pace) where 30 fps would happily suffice.
I hope, for the rather unnecessary detail, they didn’t make it run at 30fps avarage.
