It could very well be a demo of some of the mechanics of the game. Besides, in the video, people were laughing at what the guys on stage playing the game were saying. I think there is more to this than we are probably aware of at this point. The video I saw barely picked up anything said on stage, and when it did, it was japanese. So we will have to wait for more info before we passe judgment on the game as a whole, but what am I saying, this is the internet, we pass judgement and ask questions later.
