Recently we’ve seen Midway published titles such as Blacksite and Stranglehold with delayed releases on the PS3 compared to other platforms. That’s about to change.
Midway boss David F. Zucker said:
“For our first wave of next-gen games… lead development has been on the Xbox 360, due to its earlier introduction and larger installed base. We ran into some technical issues developing for the PlayStation 3 that have taken more time to finalise than we expected,”
“We do believe that these technical issues are now complete at a core level in our engine. Looking ahead to 2008, we expect the PS3 versions of our titles to ship day and date with the Xbox 360 and other SKUs.”
Glad to hear it
Also, Mr. Zucker hinted at an upcoming “ambitious open-world game”. We could always use another one of those.

I have heard alot of developers taking sony’s advice and making the PS3 lead SKU. Supposedly that alleviates some problems since its apparently easier to port from the the ps3 than it is to port to the ps3.

Not only is Blacksite delayed, it also has seriously altered online. NO MIC SUPPORT, less than half of the online modes that the Xbox gets….. Just crap…thats why they are appologizing now..They are trying to save face because they know that no one will buy their lazy ass port.
