Call of Duty 4 offers 16 maps and thirteen multiplayer variants out of the box. PS3 and 360 support 18 players online (a number that could increase at a later date) with PC offering 32-player matches. Other than the number count, multiplayer is identical for all three systems. This is in terms of modes, map layouts, visual fidelity, and performance. Top to bottom, COD4 runs fantastically. On consoles you may see a few random moments of lag hit, but in my experience, these were so rare that I hardly noticed them.

Is it just me or is everyone else getting tired of the 45 second intros **Sarcasm** that websites are giving their video clips?? Seriously, I am getting to where I don’t want to see clips of anything because it means sitting through a 25 second splash screen for Game Trailers or IGN or Game Videos etc…..
Call of Duty 4 looks awesome though, and its refreshing to actually see a PS3 build being used in the videos for once.

Timed the above intro and its 14 seconds….thats about 12 seconds too long.

Nice review thread.
Sounds like this lives up to expectations: Great graphics, sound, wow factor, plus solid (yet short) single player campaign and highly polished multi-player. And finally, a PS3 version that comes out day and date with out any real deficiencies.
I will have to get this. Look forward to seeing everyone online!

Just played this game multiplayer on a PC for two hours. It is frickin AWESOME!

Call of Duty 4 is going to be one of the best 2007 games! I can’t wait to start playing the one I bought from bestbuy.com
