To me this game is a lot like Tomb Raider Aniversary Edition. I think that is a good thing though, I really liked that game.

The controls in the demo were good, graphics were good, it was a lot of fun.

I probably will rent it first, as it looks like the sort of game you could finish in a few sessions.

The aiming reticle is meant to be an area representing where your shot will approximately hit. Its like the reticle for a shotgun (in any other FPS) but in this case, the handgun has a smaller area. The opposite of this is CounterStrike, where your aiming device is a cross (instead of an open circle) and every bullet hits (unrealistically) where the crossmark is sitting.

About the cover: you're not meant to be *standing* somewhere and just all of a sudden try to cover and let the AI decide where he's gonna go. The character is supposed to be running AT cover (or pressing the analog stick in SOME direction) in order for him to properly take cover on whatever surface you choose... duh?

The fact that "he climbes onto rocks and it doesnt even look like he’s on them" and "the charactor never feels like it’s really walking directly on land" is something inherent to making a sick 3D game with a sick 3D character. Back in the days of Tomb Raider, the surfaces were totally flat with some random textures. Now, they model big rocks, and little rocks, and accents on the terrain, and it might give the impression that he's "floating" some times. It remains, however, that every one of my friends that has seen this game (and are not game enthusiasts) are amazed at how detailed the character and environment are.

Ive played this demo a bunch of times over and dont get tired of it. I'll probably save this game for Christmas, when I actually have some time to play games... but its definitely a *must* buy.

Graphics and animations are stunning - even the odd tear didn't jar as much as it normally does. Gameplay looks pretty solid. Sound was a bit weak I thought - not enough ambient noises when there wasn't any music (jungles aren't that quiet usually), and the music wasn't epic to make up for it.

But still nice for a demo - didn't give too much away either.

I really liked it. Gameplay wasn't new but fairly polished (there is a problem with aiming but maybe that was done on purpose(?)). It looks fantastic and if it plays in 1080p I'll be very pleased. I'm sure it'll look epic on my new Sony Full HD LCD I'm getting! I'd go as far as saying it's one of the best looking PS3 games to date.
It sounded good and the music was okay. I'm hoping it'll have a fair amount of humour in it too.
Really looking forward to it.

Some gamer's have such high expectations that nothing satisfies them. I like the demo. It was exactly what I expected it to be. I will be getting this game on release. I saw no glitches, but glitches in a demo should be expected. The Rachet and Clank demo had tons of glitches, but they were fixed for the final game. A demo gives you an inside peek to what the final product will be like. It's not the final product.

Overall, The game is going to be great and I really enjoyed this demo.

The demo wasn't great or even good. you can clearly make out gliches in the animations and the graphics arent anything to go WOW about ..he climbes onto rocks and it doesnt even look like he's on them ..it's so glitchy...the charactor never feels like it's really walking directly on land ...almost like it's coasting along..i think this game was and still is WAY over hyped....i was looking forward to this demo and i could hardly stay awake while i was playing it....HORRIBLE GAME!

One last thing...Demo's have been doing this sort of thing for a long time. Every once and a while a really good demo will come out that let's you bascially do everything in it, that you can do in the final game, but the bad thing there is that it ends up ruining the game for you cuz you have already been there, done that. Know what i'm saying here guy's (CoD 4 beta for the 360). Then you have demo's for Uncharted that look spectacular and play great, but you never get too excited because not alot of gameplay and story is shown. Trust me when i say this is a common thing and they did in on purpose. They want you to get the game and everything be a surprise to you when you do get it. I know i'm picking it up on the 19th !!

The demo was great and i knew this game was going to be a hit the moment i heard about it. One thing i must say to all of you, never judge a game by the demo ! They kept it short so not to ruin any of the real game and take away some of the excitment. All this demo did was give you a lil tatse of the graphics and technology that they have implemented into the game. Darrin mentioned that the game seemed a lil bland, well i can assure you that this was done on purpose because the demo stops right before anything actually happens. I have a good feeling that this game is going to surprise alot of people :)
