Is it just me, or does this level look really bad? I have to say I haven’t been impressed at all with the colour and texture choices for the UT3 levels I’ve seen. One, the resolution doesn’t seem that good. Quite bad actually. And two, the colours chosen are boring and drab. Everything’s blue and gray.

I’m not 100% on this, maybe I’ll get it once I’m bored with CoD4
Which won’t be for a while

I don’t know about this game…Seems too twitchy for me. I know that the person playing is using a keyboard and mouse because he turns too fast for a controller.
Have all the Unreal games been run & Gun? I don’t like those game types. I like more of a Socom/ Call of duty style game where you have to use squad based tactics.

Yes, UT is about run & gun (and a fast variant of it).
As for tactics, there can be quite a bit of it, even with full-bot teammates (at least on the PC, properly ordering your bot mates around would make a lot of difference). There doesn’t seem to be much of it in the console videos though…

That looked god awful.

There is an awkward level of negativity in the comments posted here.
I mean, we’re back to bitching about colors? Come on…
Also, that level isn’t crap. Sure, it doesn’t have lava, ice, or a Rube Goldberg device that automatically captures the flag for you, but it’s definitely a well designed multi-level CTF map.
As for the speed of gameplay; yeah, it’s fast. Faster than Halo or Call of Duty, but not so fast that you can legally cry about it without sounding like a cream puff.
I wouldn’t be so quick to write off Unreal Tournament 3 seeing as it has more expandability and multiplayer features than ANY current console game.
