i am tempted to get UT3 *just* for the mod-making. i am a terrible FPS player, but the possibilities of doing fun stuff with unrealscript tempts me. on the other hand, i believe i'd have to get the pc version, too, for the editor. hmmm...

Great that Sony are embracing this and are getting the game first, MS may have a bigger network and more users but that means they are restrictive and enforce a set of rules on everyone that develops for the network, if this is successful and really takes off which i am confident it will i wouldnt be surprised to see this in other games that use the unreal engine.

I don't think I'll buy this game, too fast paced for my dying reflexes (I am more of Battlefield guy where tactic comes before reflexes, and you have room to breathe), but I hope this game does well on PS3. Epic needs to be commended for their attention on the PS3 version. I might buy it tho, if there comes a nice mod that suits my play style..

If it sells 4 to 1 on Xbox360 (of course after it comes out), I'd be more likely to believe that people might be buying ps3's as blu-ray players. Ratchet and Clank sold pathetically compared to how good it was as a game.

Pretty good interview from Mark Rein, but gamasutra seems completely lost on user created content.

Anyone who's played Quake, Half Life, or Unreal games knows what this is about. Seems they are console guys first and late to the party on mods.

Of course all they need to do is look at Counter strike or Team Fortress to know what you can do as both started as mods that grew into their own games.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Halo levels pop up on the more underground sites.
