I wouldn’t waste my money on crap. You can get a decent beginner receiver for a hundred or two and buy some used speakers to get started. Good stereo sounds much better than crap surround.

My surround sound cost $60.00 and it sounds just as great as a $300.00 system. Also, if you stood the PS3 vertically between the two speakers it would look pretty cool. Nice styling.
