From Bloomberg:
Stringer today said the company sells about 200,000 PlayStation 3 consoles in Europe each week, and 40,000 to 50,000 in Japan. It also sold more than 200,000 in the U.S. following “Black Friday,” the day after Thanksgiving.
200K per week in Europe alone! Wow!
It’s about time for some good news! Let’s hope we see some good software numbers as well.

Yeah, we really do
Seems like Europe really is a HUGE stake in Sonys plan! I hope this finally shows in some “non-delays”!

Doesn’t Europe usually equal the USA in units sold? I am pretty sure the PS2 sold a little over 40 million in both places and about 20 million in Japan. They should be selling about the same as the USA considering there are more people in Europe.
It is great news for Sony that they are finally turning the PS3 into a respectable system. The price has finally gotten low enough where the average consumer can get one without selling less used body parts.

It’s about time that Sony realizes that Europe is a big market and that they stop putting us behind. For some reason we always get the nice stuff weeks or even months after Japan and the USA.

With us Europeans buying that many PS3′s surely we should get the games at the same time as our American cousins……!
