European PSN updates for January 3rd - “Surely not?” edition

  1. derrickgott007 Says:

This big bang of an update is quite the fizzling dud if you don’t have Guitar Hero, Rockband, or Need for Speed. And to think that Sony had said “The wait will be worth it” two weeks ago when they said that we wouldn’t get a christmas update. WHere is the Kane and Lynch demo?? Where are our PS1 games?? Heck I can get ROMS of PS1 games in BOTH languages on google so it can’t be a localization issue. Come on Sony…Get your act together in 2008.

  2. Sporty Says:

They added 10 new PSOne game on the JP store today. Including Wild Arms II and RE2

I wish they would push out PSOne titles to fill out the updates each weak. They have nearly 3k PSOne games, it’s not like they need to ration them like water in the desert.

  3. mcloki Says:

Agreed. These type of PSN updates are just going to irritate customers rather than help perpetuate the brand. Where the hell is GT Prologue?
I like the fact that Sony updates every Thursday. It’s smart to be that consistent. But why not take it that one step further Sony. Make a 15 minute video podcast or 1 hour podcast available every Thursday. It’s just 52 weeks of content. You should be able to do that standing on your head. Throw in a couple of trailers, maybe a few interviews. Put a nice wrapper on it. Give us a celebrity and voila Sony PSN TV. It would go over great.

  4. Børten Says:

    What a great idea, Mcloki!
Do you read this, Sony? -Make PsnTV!

  5. SL33PY Says:

Why is there so much difference between the European and the American PSN Store?

  6. John Says:

I much agree with all above posters.

  7. iFlash Says:

@Sl33py - I think they are all different because they actually operate as different departments and make their own decisions. They decide what is best for their regions.

  8. Gary Says:

Pretty poor update for NA and EU.

  9. Tosh Hatch Says:

Ya, not a great way to start out 2008 ..

  10. Tosh Hatch Says:

Oh, and make your complaints at the http://blog.us.playstation.com/ website, they do read every single comment ;)
