In Game XMB … hints from Sony?

The photo below is from the Game Developers Conference. Is it a hint that it’s coming soon? Or just a joke? Either way I want that shirt, lol.

There are rumors that In Game XMB is finished and will arrive with the next firmware update. Future games coming out wlll support it, and past titles will receive a patch.

I mainly want In Game XMB for checking to see if my friends are online, what they are playing, check and write messages, etc. It would be nice to have access to the web browser in game as well.

I know my gf would like to have custom soundtracks in Toy Home, so I hope that happens as well :)

I am going to have to say it’s a done deal. Sony… I am sure has people smarter than I that would know releasing this shirt and not having the feature is STUPID.

In-game XMB is what I’ve been looking forward to for a long time now. I would also love to have one of those shirts :)

  3. The Great T Run Says:

this one is a no brainer on Sony’s part. Inevitable.

  4. SL33PY Says:

As Henning hinted in older posts, In game XMB isn’t what gamers really want, let’s hope that sony understood the tons and tons of rants of little unkowning kids that everyone actually wants in-game messaging and custom sound to all games.

Not that I’ll need it, I’m not that kind of player, but still a lot of people want such functionality. Perhaps I’ll use the messaging/buddy thing in-game, that actually lookds usefull to me.

have you ever looked at how much memory FF and IE use? Would you really want to play games that had to reserve 100MB of memory just so you could fire up your browser on a whim?
