Metal Gear Solid 4: Limited Edition
I haven’t been able to confirm, but rumor is that GameStop has just started accepting pre-orders for Metal Gear Solid 4: Limited Edition.
For $84.99, you get the game plus:
- Making-Of Blu-ray
- 4 chapters of the graphic novel
- Metal Gear Import Soundtrack CD
I suspect this is legit. I got the image from Konami’s website, which looks like it matches the reported limited edition contents.
So are the extras worth the $25 price premium? You need to pre-order (either standard edition or limited edition) to get into the Metal Gear Solid Online Preview in late April.

I love MGS for the polished gameplay. They add a lot of different play elements to the game without any of them feeling like a lame mini-game that was bolted on.
From what I remember, the soundtrack isn’t something that I would want to listen to on its own. And the story isn’t something that I would want to read on its own. At its best, the story was a fun backdrop for the game, and other times, the dialog was just groan-worthy awful and the cut scenes were completely excessive.
Then again, the base game is a definite buy, and $25 extra isn’t that much for me.

I for one LOVED the soundtracks to MGS2 and 3… The mix between industrial, classic and ambient music is great!

I couldnt find a link to preorder the Limited Edition. All the places to preorder only have the regular edition with the DVD. Darrin, if you find a link, will you post it? Anybody else too please. Thanks!
