I play COD4 with the light sixaxis, anything other with vibration I use my white DualShocks. e.g. The vibration in pixel junk monsters is very good, you'd be surprised (the boss thumps on the ground, you feel it with respect to your proximity)

The battery life on the Dualshock 3 is at least as good as the regular SIXAXIS. I've had it for months now, and everything I play has vibration these days. The one that used vibration the most was Lost Planet, by far. I was afraid the battery wouldn't last long with so much vibration, but it lasted for a looooong time before needing a charge. So, no worries about the battery life... AT ALL!
I really like the heavier feel of the DS3 as well. Going back to the old SIXAXIS feels too light now...

The battery is said to be stronger than the old one... A friend of mine imported one from Japan and the back says a higher number of mAh than my Sixaxis... Dunno about the longevity though

derrick, I thought the same thing. It's possible (but not certain) that the smaller battery doesn't mean less power. Also it doesn't look much smaller in the pics. We shall see how the battery life is.

Segitz, agree 100%. Why not one-up the competition and add better haptics? I'd like to hear them explain this.

What worries me is the smaller battery pack....Seems like bad design to me.

LENNY: "Hey Ralph, Let's put some vibrating motors in this controller which will require MORE power."

RALPH: "Great Idea Lenny, Lets put a smaller battery in there too since it needs more power!"

shame on you Sony, you could have incorporated Touchsense or whatnot, but you picked the boring choice
