The only two major things I want are customisable soundtracks and access to read/write messages in-game. It would be nice to have universal voice chat (starting from the chat lobby and moving from game to game or chatting to friends who are playing different games) but it’s not that important to me compared to say Henning.

It looks too complicated to jump out of a game, use the XMB, send a message/invite, and jump back into the game. I was hoping they would make a slimmed down interface for sending messages/invites very quickly and easily with minimal button presses.
I hope this test build isn’t representative of the final design.

The whole world was crying to be able to access the XMB from within a game, and now Sony is delivering just that.

Wait, it doesn’t work from the main page, but in the article page it works! Sorry!

Yes, the world was crying “in-game XMB”, but what they really want is convenient in-game, cross-game messaging + invites. And people want a simpler interface than jumping out to the XMB, they just aren’t good at articulating that.
