PS3 Firmware 2.36 Live Now

Firmware (v2.36) coming soon, (v2.40) to include trophies, in-game XMB What does it do? Well not much - “improving system stability when playing select PlayStation format software titles”. But at least we have official word that FW 2.40 will have in-game XMB and trophies. Hopefully we get 2.4 “soon”.

I had a weird experience applying this firmware. Normally the progress bars march from 0 to 100 but this time it got to 55 on the install, and then the PS3 rebooted, didn’t have the usual “successful install” stuff.

Still seems to work OK though.

Sporty : Yes PC both versions look better then PS2. I was one of those people that bought it on PS2 and PC. graphics are about the same, just higher res and smoother textures.
Segitz : Dunno, FFXI on PS2 was never released in Europe... Only PC (I don't even know if the 360 version is available here)

Pc : Nevermind yall, i figured it out by doing a little reading on a forum over at the playstation site. All i had to do was simply plug my keyboard into the 1st usb slot and it works just fine now ! WEIRD STUFF
Pc : Guys, i need help ! Has anybody tried playing Final Fantasy XI on their PS3 yet ? I need to know how to get a keyboard working while playing this game. My wireless keyboard shuts down when i enter the playonline viewer.
