Video of Firmware 2.40 Coming Tonight? Yes.

Jeff Rubenstein had this to say on Sony’s PlayStation.Blog:

But because I know what you’re going to ask about, and because we don’t traffic in rumors and/or speculation, I invite you to come back to the Blog tonight (just shy of midnight Pacific). We’ve got a video to show you.

Could it be the video walkthrough of the long awaited Firmware 2.40?

I say yes, yes it is (hopefully  )!!

Video of Firmware 2.40 Coming Tonight?

EDIT: Yup, part 1 is up on the PlayStation.blog.

Part 2 shows how trophies will work.

  1. Tosh Hatch Says:

Something to dream about tonight, lol. I’m not staying up for that.

  2. Gary Says:

    In-game customisable music!! Woohooo!! :D

  3. Paranoimia Says:

As I said in my comment on the PlayStation.Blog post, in-game XMB and trophies mean little to me, but even so… trophies are all about bragging rights, and there’s little point if you can only view them on your PS3. Some form of web-viewable system is required, similar the 360’s Gamercard, if trophies are to be worth a damn.

  4. Gary Says:

It would be nice if you could view what trophies your friends have in the XMB, via their name.

  5. Tosh Hatch Says:

Trophies aren’t required for all games, but I imagine all games coming out in the future will have it. I doubt many titles out now will support it.

  6. Trigga_Tybalt Says:

Gary, you can? he shows it and you can compare what you have compared t your friend :D

  7. Gary Says:

Yeah I just noticed that, I hadn’t watched it when I made my earlier comment.

    Bring on Wed!! :)
