Dual Shock 3 Finally Arrives in Europe this Week

President of SCEE David Reeves says so:

“We are delighted to confirm that DualShock 3 will be released in SCEE territories in early July. We hope this will add to the intense gaming experience for our fans, as we continue to evolve PS3, its software and its peripherals,”

It will go on sale July 4th priced at £39.99. Better late than never I suppose. :-|

Sony have really missed a trick with this. They should’ve bundled the DS3 with the MGS4 PS3 hardware bundle and had the new pad on sale prior to the release of MGS4.

I’ll be getting one at some point but I’m not paying £39.99 for it.

Dual Shock 3 Finally Arrives in Europe

  1. SL33PY Says:

    I’m bringing the DS3 home from the USA 40$ = +/- 25€ = good price

  2. Gary Says:

I’m planning on doing the same when I go to NYC in September.

  3. Burten Says:

Stiff price, but what can you do?
Hang around another year, and wait for a price-drop..?

  4. Paranoimia Says:

I imported mine from YesAsia.com a few months back, around the launch of GT5P… only cost me £30.01 in total. Had to wait a couple of weeks for delivery, but I’d rather do that again than pay the extra £10 to buy locally.

  5. Glitch Says:

Importing from YesAsia isn’t an option for me because of a huge taxes on imports outside of the EU here in Denmark.

So I’ll probably buy one Dualshocker locally and then wait for a price decrease before I buy the second one.

  6. Paranoimia Says:

Glitch… we in the UK also get taxed on items over £18. But YesAsia appear to get around it by sending in bulk to a local ‘agent’, who then repackages and ships locally. When my DS3 arrived, it had been sent from Croydon, not Hong Kong!

Might be worth investigating… see if they have a similar system for Denmark.

  7. Trigga_Tybalt Says:

i got mine from america in april for like £25. when i buy another i’m gonna go for a nice white one from japan :D 40 for a pad is way steep!

  8. SteveG Says:

Jesus Christ people get off your lazy backsides and find a discounted offer, like this perhaps:

    http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/productpage.asp?productcode=PX0359&title=dual_shock_3

£32.99 including delivery. And we still don’t know what Play and Amazon are going to charge.

Or you can just go on complaining about something you’ve been complaining about not having. You choose.

  9. ehandlr Says:

lol in all honesty…I live in the states and I JUST picked up my dualshock 3 today lol. Just procrastinated…sad thing is, I don’t have any PS3 games to play right now. Not until Soul Calibur 4 comes out.

  10. Glitch Says:

@Paranoimia - Thanks for the info. But in Denmark we get taxed on items above 8,48 pounds, and the post office demands a fee for the taxing, that we have to pay as well. And there is no possibility of reposting as you described.

So I have to either check some of the netdeals in EU, and some like Play.com do not sell electronics out of GB unfortunately, or just go ahead and pay the price for the DualShock in a shop.

I don’t know the price, but I can tell you, that the SIXAXIS in Denmark at the moment costs 47,62 pounds or 94,98 dollars.

  11. Cortez Says:

£29.99 including second class delivery at Amazon.

Woohoo, no more listening to whining fanbois!

  12. Del Says:

    At Amazon:

    DS3 = £30

    360 wireless + battery pack = £37

    Wiimote & Nunchuck = £43 + cost of batteries
