please please please split screen co-op.. game has me 100% sold if it supports split screen co-op play. 90% otherwise.

This game probably won’t support split screen co-op, I remember a level weighing at about 2GB, and the game is constantly being streamed. Either that, or they will have to make sure the players can’t stay away from eachother, playing nearly at the same spot..

I kind of have to agree with hobbes… a lack of split-screen co-op really kills my interest in the game. It’s a very pretty looking game, definitely one of the best looking shooters out there. But outside of some good visuals I don’t see a lot that separates it from the crowd. Plus I disliked KZ1 so much I didn’t even bother finishing it… so I can’t say I’m a fan of the series to begin with. But when it comes down to choosing games I want to invest in I’m leaning more and more on co-op. Between work and family my gaming time is becoming increasingly limited and what time I do have to game I usually prefer to spend with my wife. With that in mind, the only single player games I’ll pick up really have to have some strong appeal, this game doesn’t really have much of that. Looks like we’ll be getting Gears 2 and Resistance 2, but unless Emrah is wrong on the split-screen co-op KZ2 will be getting a pass in my house.
I’d say the lack of co-op would take my likely purchase from 80% down to around 0% unless it gets nearly perfect reviews… and from the gameplay footage I don’t really think that’s going to happen.

It looks good. Seems to play very nicely. I like the slight blurring and depth of focus tricks to make it look more realistic.
2 player co-op is kinda “meh”. So is online. I’m glad it’s there but I don’t really use it that much.
I think it’s going ot be a huge 2009 game, But Resistance2 gets the press right now since it will be out in the fall and will sell 2-3 million copies.

they better hope we’re all sick of resistence by feb. and considering the online section of it looks immense it might not be likely.
