I now have the real game and it’s really awesome, however I could see it being a little repetitive for someone who isn’t into racing games.

I always get tired of the prepicked in game music. I think I’ll stick with burnout. Hey, bikes are coming this week. Yay.

Day one purchase for me ! I love the way the game feels and looks, plus the addition of 4 player split screen. Besides, i need a good racing game that me and my friends can play when they come over to drink or whatever ! Off-road racing is the best in my opinion

Just wanted to point out that its a demo, not the finish full game.
Who knows, maybe more features will be in the final release..?

I´m buying the one just for the splitscreen, the rest is just a bonus ;-D

You’re unique point Darrin really sums up Motorstorm. There definitely is no one defining feature that makes it good but the sum of its parts. I got the demo through the e-mail invite.
The race was a bit short though at 2 laps. didn’t give me enough of a chance to get into the races I did enjoy the monster truck though Did anyone else find the demo a little rough round the edges? Camera going through walls and textures in some places looking a little flat.
I enjoyed the first Motorstorm, which i got free with my PS3 and was excited to try it out and I agree it is exactly the same as the 1st game. While this is not bad it just means i can’t justify buying it with the heavy christmas schedule but when its cheaper i’ll give it another look.

No in-car view, but there is a ‘bonnet cam’ (or ‘hood cam’ for those of you in NA ). But to be honest, the original had that, and it just made me feel sick.

I’ve now spent some time with the demo.

So far I think the graphics are a big improvement over the first version. It seems like they really put more effort into the textures, and it seems to have a better lighting model…a “high dynamic range” model but not too over the top. I believe it is still just 720P but its a nice looking, anti-aliased 720P, with little in the way of jagged edges.

It is more arcade than something like Dirt but it has a huge fun factor. I think it might be too fast paced for a wheel, I’ve tried using a wheel with these sort of games on the PC and it gets tiresome after a while (but then I don’t like driving on logging roads for hours at a time in a real truck either).

The Ministry music was a nice touch, totally appropriate for this type of game.

I expect this demo will be on my PS3 for a while.
