I really hope this gets a release in the West! This is exactly the type of game Sony needs to boost the variety of the PS3 library.
I like the idea of being able to save pics to your HDD and hopefully being able to set them as wallpapers and uploading them to an online gallery.

This game has potential. But the best place Sony could expand this concept is turning it into a Photography Simulator and video training guide.
As soon as I saw the camera i thought. Sony why not show all of your products in the manner. Simulate your Video Cameras and have tutorials on how to use them. This way people start taking better shots and understand the need for a better camera.
I can see other areas of the world getting DLC. Antarctica. MExico, China. Tundra.
May be worth a rental.
