Mega Man 9 may have received a very positive reception, but I do not want more of the same old technology. Old tech sequels are just more of the same. I do not want more of the same old school formula. I would want HD remakes of NES games. What about go for HD remakes of Mega Man 1-6? That would be done by the development team behind Bionic Commando Re-Armed.

Greg, I don't want to say how old I am, but I have fond memories of playing Atari 2600 and Colecovision and much later Mega Man on NES when I was young. However, I prefer new tech remakes (Bionic Commando), rather than old tech sequels (like this).

Seriously though, even though I don't like it, I'm glad they made this game for people like you who've been dying for something like this.

Compared to every game i currently own for my PS3, Mega Man doesn't even seem out dated, it's more like decrepid and dying. Sure those games were good back then, but things evolve for a reason (a good one too). They don't need to try and make new "old" games again. I can play old games whenever i want to. Games like Bionic Commando HD are a good thing though. I don't mind an HD remake of an old game, but playing a new game that is truly old in terms of graphics and game play is just oh too stale for me. Ohh, and i was born in 83, so i was very much used to 8 bit games :)

Anyone else want to become a member of the "Just Don't Get It Club"? Were you all born after the SNES came out?

The 8-bit Megaman games represented all that was good in gaming, and were a major contributor to video games as we know them today. It's simply awesome that they went back to a tried and true formula and managed to create one of the best entries in the series since Megaman 3.
