@Steve: It is Sony-exclusive, meaning that at the moment LBP is only for the PS3, but the game, or some of it might be ported to the PSP at some later point.

But that's it.

Anyone else having issues with online game play? Over the last week I feel like a beta tester when i go online... Game locks up, network times out, latency and/or poor net code, latency in controls and movement (compared to single player), and more...

However, happy to say some impressive levels are finally being released. I will make a list later of a few faves.

I had a good time playing this game with Henning, Todd, and Mike. The best part is probably slapping each other's sackboys around. :) We didn't do any level creation, so evaluating the game strictly as a platformer is likely going to sell it short. Platformers aren't my favourite type of game to begin with, so that doesn't help LBP's case either. But having said that, it is a refreshing take on the platformer genre and has quite a few hooks that make you want to go back to it.

One aspect that I like is, as Henning mentioned, the physical treatment of the scenery and the objects in it. These are very well handled. Objects that look like they're made of upholstered stuffing behave like it too, and collisions between objects appear to respect most of the physical rules about inertia.

I also enjoyed watching burning objects. Flames and smoke are extremely realistic compared to any previous digital treatment that I've seen. It's even fun to watch your sackboy go up in smoke when you accidentally fall into a fire pit. A sackboy makes a lot of smoke!

I haven't decided whether I would buy this once I have a console that can play it (is this one PS3-exclusive?), to experiment with the game's primary intended usage, which is level creation. It probably wouldn't be at the top of my list. But it likely would make the top 10.

You got stuck like didn't know where to go? Really? While some of the later levels are difficult to traverse through, I have never had a problem with knowing where to go to next.

Playing with multi-player gets a little hectic sometimes. Sometimes it’s hard to track your sack person in a frenzied, quick moment. –That would be my only minor complaint.

The controls take a little getting used to, but once you have the three planes of depth down, it’s not that bad at all. Having mastered the feel of the three planes will help in designing your level a lot also.

Sometimes you just have to jump in a direction to see what's there. Or there's some platform that looks like scenery ...

I think the biggest con in multiplayer is the camera. Sometimes it fixes on the person behind, so the one in front dies - and often the range is too small. But the main problem is that it jumps around wildly if you're holding onto any spinning wheel or swinging sections. I have only played with an unskilled player, and it was a bit frustrating for all involved.

Oh! so you mean yo didn't know where to go next?... Well, there were several times when i didn't know where to go either. This game can get really tricky sometimes. The levels have their fair amount of difficulty (and confusion), especially the later levels. Also, some bosses actually hard (I don´t know where you are so far so I won't tell which so I don't spoil anything).

Just hang in there! Even if you get discouraged sometimes, is very worth to try it again and feel the accomplishment that goes with finishing the levels, and even better when you finish them 100%

All in all, this is a great game for everyone! lol

We didn't know where to go next, that was the problem. We could backtrack to the previous checkpoint if we wanted to. We just couldn't figure out where to go next. So we quit the level.
