Argh! I go online and I have to do a system update and it’s taking FOREVER (5% as of 9:56pm). I don’t think I’ll get online until 10:30!!!! Argh!!!!
UPDATE 2
It looks like the game most of us have is Burnout: Paradise. (LBP is limited to 4 players online.) A lot of people also have CoD4, but we just played that two weeks ago. Maybe next week.
So, if you’d like to play, send me (Blackstaffer) a PSN invite (mention PS3Blog) and at 10pm EST or so we’ll be entering the game. Those of us that are HOME club members will meet there ahead of time. I’ve only gone online with Burnout twice, so hopefully this will go smoothly.

I’m gonna keep trying!
This time, I thought I’d open it up to all of you. What do you want to play? What can you play? Will you show up? 
It’s important that you please list both what you can play and what your first choice would be, because we’re trying to get as many people involved as possible. Hopefully more than three!
I was thinking R2 (in which case someone else will have to start the game, because I don’t have it) or Burnout: Paradise. But anything else is fine too. Warhawk again? Call of Duty: World at War?

I’ve got burnout and GTA. I don’t game much, but I read this website daily. I probably won’t be joining you, but if you ever had a specific request or test you wanted to run with my setup let me know and I’d be happy to meet online or something. I have an early model ps3, hooked up to a 5MB internet connection. I always get signed out of my profile all the time, and my system seems to have trouble downloading game updates. I can download playstation store stuff FAST and smoothly, but when I pop in a disc and it says “Burnout update 1.1234″ or whatever, it usually takes 9 or 10 attempts before it gets all the way to 100% without stalling. Maybe router firewall issue or something? With this problem would I be successful with gaming online?

Yes I agree that MGO should have been incorporated into the PSN. That still bugs me, but it doesn’t stop me from enjoying the game.

Well guys, It looks like I’ll be out of the next few gaming nights. Lastnight the Bluray drive in our PS3 died. Sonys sending out a shiping box for the repair. But it will most likely be a unit replacement. Stinks because my Gen1 will likely be replaced some crap Gen3 with no PS2 BC. So I’ll hook up the PS2 (also a Gen1) back up.
So I’ll let you all know when I’m back in PS3 land.
