Army of Two: The 40th Day |

My friend Steve and I played Army of Two splitscreen co-op at my place. Went through the whole game, in fact. It was a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to the day EA announces the next game.

Oh wait. That day is here!

“With Army of Two: The 40th Day, we're pushing the tactical two-man military team into new battlegrounds offering a completely organic and rich co-op experience to deliver an action-packed co-op shooter this winter,” said Reid Schneider, executive producer at EA Montreal. “As chaos blankets Shanghai, China, you must rely on your partner to survive as you weave through a broken city left devastated in a mysterious wake.”

I’ll definitely be checking out this game. I hope they don’t remove the splitscreen option!

Army of Two: The 40th Day Announced

  • I wasn’t really a big fan of the last game. I guess it was the pace or the characters but I didn’t realy get into it. Me and my friend finished the campaign online but after a day or two we already forgot about the game.

  • Same here, Spybreak. I had a hard time getting into it as well. It had its moments, but overall was forgettable, in my opinion.

  • Army of Two: The 40th Day is a third-person shooter based in groundbreaking cooperative gameplay functionality. Sequel to the 2008 game of the same name, and featuring series heroes, Rios and Salem, in this new iteration players have a bigger playbook of features and a new arsenal of co-op moves that either player can perform at any time, opening up fresh strategies in the face of overwhelming odds. In addition, the game features advanced weapon customization and upgrade systems, as well as four explosive online multiplayer modes, each focused on unique cooperative play.
