Sony is calling this a “console-based Alternate Reality Game” lol Sounds interesting. This takes place inside PlayStation Home. I’ll give this a shot tonight and see what it’s all about.
Let us know if you find the “Xi”, and what it is all about.
Called Xi , the adventure takes place in a series of secret areas in Home – and beyond – changing day by day, week by week, in real time. Anyone with a PLAYSTATION 3 can join in the fun for free – in English, French, Italian, German or Spanish.
To discover the mystery of Xi, simply log on to PlayStation Home and look for the graffiti on the wall in the main square. Find that, and all will be revealed….

It’s strange. I think it’s a daily puzzle type thing. I completed the first ‘task’ (find out Jess’ favourite band), went to get another and nothing was given. Will try again later or tomorrow.

Wow, that’s actually a great idea. My faith in Home’s potential is coming back.

I don’t understand wtf it’s about. Guess I gotta get on and see for myself. Don’t understand what an ARG is really (I know it stands for Alternate Reality Game), but as far as what exactly it’s for I don’t get.

It’s an ongoing adventure game hosted in home. It’s a ton of fun so far, but there’s not much there. Maybe 15 minutes of gameplay… Now we have to wait for the next mission.
Complete walkthrough here
GREAT idea though. I could care less about game launching and mini-games, this is exactly the kind of thing that Home needs.

I tried this last night, but the “puzzle” on the website wasn’t even working. So I cheated and used the walkthrough. It’s actually pretty fun. I’m up for the next challenge when that’s available
