PSP Go Release Date October 5th
PSP Go now has an official release date of 10/5 in North America. Pretty much every country will be releasing around this day. The video I posted below shows a really good hands on of various games and you can imagine how it might feel to hold one.

PlayStation 3 Firmware 2.80 Coming Soon? [Update: Now Live]

The guys over at TheGamerAccess.com, was looking at the SCEA press site and found this – PS3 Debug Firmware Update 2.80. But nothing comes up when he clicked it. Matt Furtado @ examiner.com says this:
There are a few fixes to increase performance such as faster Trophy synchronization and faster XMB loads.
The update will have one new feature PS3 owners wants. Sadly, it won’t be immediately useful to us.
Mmm, wonder what that might be. Any thoughts?
Tekken 6 Campaign Mode in Action
Looks much better than previous Campaign Modes in past Tekken games. Online co-op is great! They said about 10 hours of gameplay, not bad at all actually. Looks fun to me.
GTA ChinaTown Wars confirmed for PSP
Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be released for PSP this autumn on UMD and via PlayStation Network. Excited anyone?
PS3 Exclusive Awarded “Best of Show” for E3 via the Game Critics Award

Make that 3 awards! Well deserved and I can not wait for this game! All other games will be taking a seat on the bench for this game. So bravo Uncharted 2, well done and lets hope this moves PS3′s!

Media Molecule Working on New PS3 Exclusive

Hardly a surprise, but a job posting says that Media Molecule is expanding and currently working on a AAA PS3 title for Sony.
For those that missed LittleBigPlanet, it is arguably the best of this generation so far. The concept behind the game was excellent, but even more impressive was how well it was realized as a final finished and polished game.
After coming off that high point, Media Molecule must surely have big plans for a follow up.
Could this be a sequel to LittleBigPlanet or a completely new game in the same user-created content space?

Thats a little expensive but will sell like crazy I’d imagine. People are already drooling over this.
Gamestop is also offering an exclusive preorder bonus. Receive a 12 month TEKKEN 6 desk calendar and the SAMURAI PACK downloadable content bonus. The SAMURAI PACK includes a special costume for Yoshimitsu inspired by Penny-Arcade’s Cardboard Tube Samurai and special nobori (Japanese war flags) as universal items for each character. Both these preorder bonus items are GameStop exclusive.

PlayStation Home – Hamsters Dance Off Video

I forgot about this, so I didn’t get to see it. But here is a video of the Dance Off. No official winner, but it seems like the humans won.
Based on which side showed the most support, Home users would receive a different free item. If Hamsters are the decided winner, the PlayStation Home community will receive Viking and Valkyrie helmets. If Humans win, Home users net free Fedoras and Aviator headwear.
So did anyone here join in the Dance Off?
