Sony’s Eric Lempel on PS3 Updates & Firmware Rumors Part 1 of 2

PCWorld conducted an interview with Eric Lempel on the all of the rumors flying around. According to him they are just that…rumors. He made some other comments on the clock fix and Hulu as well.

“You’ll definitely see another firmware update this year, but it won’t be like what the rumors say.”

“We’re looking pretty good, and timing is a little rough, but just in terms of that rumor, it’s not the case.”

    The Hulu thing is because Hulu doesn’t want it showing up on TV sets for some reason. Which is very stupid. Hopefully they chance their stance on that.

    Clock fix, lol. I’m on the 50% side that doesn’t mind it. But I still notice it every time and wonder why they haven’t fixed it.

    The PS3 should sort out its updates they do pointless things that nobody recognises, it should have an update so talking with friends is possible when they are on different games and also be able to play songs whilst on a game they would be decent updates instead of the usual BS!!

    Many of the updates are aimed at developers, giving them more tools to work with. I don’t see any harm in that.

    They are aiming at quarterly updates in the future.
