Konami to Reissue PS2 Games to Meet Consumer Demand

This story isn’t really PS3 related, but it is in a bit of interest if you’ve played MGS4, but not MGS2 and 3. Not sure if these will be available in North America, but the source is GamesIndustry.biz, which is a UK-based gaming news site. Anyway, they’re (Konami) reissue some popular PS2 titles and selling them to wholesalers, so chances are, the games won’t be made available to big chain stores. As far as the titles go, according to GI, here’s the list:

Those PS2 games are Suikoden Tactics, Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. And they will soon be joined by Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4.

The prices will be between 10 and 20 GBP, depending on the title. If you live in the area and have an independent shop around that has any available, check out the MGS games if you haven’t had a chance to play them. Will help you understand the MGS story immensely if you’ve played MGS4 and none of the others.

Shadow of Destiny is the only game I cannot find. I wish sony would figure out the software B/C so any and every PS2 game could be sold as a download.

What would be the point of playing MGS4 without playing the others? You would be so lost. It would be like watching the last disc of LoTR… Lmao.
