Wonder if firmware 3.0 will enable that on the “fat” PS3’s. Btw, the PS3 Slim comes with Firmware 2.76 – The boot up screen for the PS3 Slim is different too, check it out.

Really sucks I think the new start up screen is cheap looking and out of place….wish they would stick with the original…as for the playstation poping up when u start a game im going to miss the sound.

It may come back with 3.0 folks, with the new logo. That’s what I imagine. 2.76 is an intermediary firmware and the new logo might be hidden from beta testers on the fat, for some reason. (I dunno how QA is made on firmware revisions, but if any third party is involved, they might have wanted to remove the logo.

It’s just because he had a Bravia, it cuts off as it accepts the input from the PS3. My old Bravia used to do it, now I’ve got a Toshiba I get the spiderman letters. What an idiot!
