According to a tweet by “MarkPlaystation”, who PSX Extreme claims is a manager for Sony Mexico, A God of War Trilogy will be released on blu-ray with God of War, God of War 2 and God of War 3 Demo all packed in on one nice blu-ray as well as many other extras.
Now thats one amazing offer if true. My question is, how do you think they will get over the BC issues? Are they remaking these games?

I’d imagine it wouldn’t be that hard to make a game compatible with the new system. Think of it as a “retro port”, it requires a little legwork to get it to work on a new platform but usually the core game is unchanged.
Or perhaps it’s related to the news that Sony was applying for that patent on backwards compatibility. Maybe that software option will be bundled in on this disc, specifically for this title. We already know that BC isn’t impossible on the PS3 but rather it’s a choice that Sony makes to try and keep people from buying PS2 games.
No matter what the reasoning is… I would buy this in a heart beat. It sounds somewhat similar to an option on that survey they had earlier this year! I hope it comes true.

You will get so much more out of the story in GoW3 if you play GoW2. Don’t worry there are no cheap levels like “The Blade Towers of I Quit” that are found at the end Hades level in GoW1.
