Is it Sunday already? It just seems like a whole week goes by in a matter of three days. I would have had this up yesterday, but due to my TV currently being out of commission, I spent time messing with that and moving my PS3 to another TV (SDTV, ewww
). Anyways, as far as this past week goes, the biggest news was probably the confirmation of the God of War collection on Blu-Ray, which I would consider getting myself! Given that, though, I think other companies should follow suit and Naughty Dog should release a Jak and Daxter pack
. Other than that, firmware 3.0 was also released and brought along a bunch of issues with it. Enough talk now, here’s the recap for the week:

As far as the community as a whole goes, the only ‘news’ pertaining to the community is the fact that we have, yet, another Giveaway. This time, it’s Four Passes to the Chicago Press Event for NFS: Shift. I assume we still have all four passes available, so if you live in or near Chicago (and are over the age of 18), sign up! The event takes place this week on the 10th.
Now for the awards section, first and foremost is the ‘Contributor of the Week’. Out of a total of 33 posts, this week’s winner is a tie. Both Tosh and Eddie have 9 articles each. Congratulations guys! I was 2 posts behind that (but I would have killed you guys if I included the Quick News
).
Next up, we got the ‘Most Liked’ article, which is awarded to Eddie with his post God of War Blu-ray Compilation Confirmed and Priced $39.99, receiving a total of 16 likes. Awesome!
In contrast to that, though, the article who won this next one, received a total of zero likes. The winner for ‘Most Comments’ is awarded to Tosh, for his article Firmware 3.0 Freezing Games?, which acquired a total of 21 comments. First time we’ve gotten to the second page of comments in a long time! So now we see both Eddie and Tosh received all the awards this week. Nice one!
Now for a little riddle:
A large truck is crossing a bridge 1 mile long. The bridge can only hold 14000 lbs, which is the exact weight of the truck. The truck makes it half way across the bridge and stops. A bird lands on the truck. Does the bridge collapse? Give a reason. And no cheating!

surely it wouldn’t collapse as the weight specified would be lower as a security measure to you know give some leeway.

not the answer I was looking for
hint: the bridge will collapse if any more weight than that was on the bridge (even though that is a security measure, but we’re saying the bridge cannot hold anymore at all)

ok I cheated. But that’s a good riddle!
#4 by Trev on September 7th, 2009 [ 24520 Points ]
oh the truck is bigger than the bridge so not all its weight is on it at once?
#5 by Riggins44 on September 7th, 2009
In a half a mile, a truck weighing that amount would have used enough gas to outweigh the bird. For every mile (or half mile) the weight of the truck drops because of the gas it is using. Just a guess…

Riggins got it, good job
